How it works

World Parts is a spare-parts directory. Shops publish what they have, and you search for the part and contact the seller. The site shows the price, but it does not take the order: there is no cart and no payment for the part.

No account needed

You can browse without an account. The menu has Home, Store, and Categories. Login and Register sit on the right of that same bar.

  • The home page shows recently published parts, the categories, the shops, and a vehicle filter.
  • The store lists the parts. You can filter by category, make, model, generation, year, and price. Changing a filter updates only the list.
  • The header search looks up the name, the part brand, the part number, the internal code, or the interchange number. A full number or a fragment both work.
  • If you enter a VIN and it is recognized, the store is filtered to that vehicle.

What appears

Only parts that are published and confirmed within the last 14 days appear. Each shop publishes up to its plan limit.

The listing

The detail page shows the price, photos, type, brand, the part number when the shop entered one, the condition, the originality, and the vehicle it fits. Below that are the shop details: phone, email, and website. The map appears when the shop marked its location on the profile. From there you can open that shop’s page, with all of its parts. Contact happens outside this site.

How to publish

  1. Register. Whoever registers is a seller: the account is tied to their company, with name, phone, address, and, if you want, the website. We email you a link, and the account activates when you open it.
  2. Open the panel and go to Products. Create opens the part form.
  3. Fill in the name, category, part brand, condition, originality, price, quantity, and the vehicle (make, model, and generation). The part number is optional. You can also add an internal code, an interchange number, fit years, a VIN, and photos.
  4. Save it as a draft, publish it, or leave it paused. A draft does not appear in the store.

What publishing requires

For a part to be published:

  • The part brand is always required.
  • Body and suspension ask for the position (the side) when you publish.

What the buyer does not see

The shelf location is visible to you in the panel. It does not appear on the public page. If the quantity reaches zero, the part stays visible and is shown as out of stock.

Confirm every 14 days

Every 14 days you confirm that the part is still available, with the Still available button. If you do not, it disappears from the store. Confirming it publishes it again.

Trial and plans

A new account gets a free trial of 30 days with the limits of the 10 dollar plan: 50 published parts and 4 photos each. After that the account stays on the Free plan, with no end date: 5 published parts and 1 photo each. To publish more, you choose the 10 or the 20 dollar plan on Plan. The 20 dollar plan reaches 200 parts and 8 photos. When the trial ends or a plan is suspended, parts above the limit are paused and come back by themselves when you pay for a plan again. Photos are kept, but buyers only see the ones your plan allows.

Seller panel

At the top of the panel you have View store, your profile, and Logout.

  • Products is your inventory. From each row you can open the public page, edit, delete, and confirm that it is still available.
  • On the profile you update the company details and place the map pin.
  • Plan shows which plan you are on, how much of its limit you use, when the trial ends or the payment renews, and how it works. You subscribe, suspend, or activate it again from there, without opening the profile.
  • Each seller sees only their own parts. What you publish carries your company’s contact details.

On the login and register pages, under the form, the Go to the store link takes you back to the catalog if you would rather keep searching.

Administration

The administrator account runs the platform. It is not another shop: it does not publish its own inventory and it does not use a seller subscription.

  • Users: the accounts of the people who sell.
  • Product types: the categories. This is where a category is marked as needing a position, or as a mechanical part.
  • Conditions and originality: new, used, or remanufactured, and whether the part is original or a replacement.
  • Vehicles: make, model, and generation. The store filters by generation.
  • The panel menus and links.
  • Settings: the length of the free trial.

The administrator sees every shop’s inventory and can correct it. The Manage group in the side menu belongs only to this account.
